Hi!

I'm JD, a student game developer. I'm studying for a Bachelor’s degree in Information and Communication Technology, majoring in Games and Creative Technologies, as well as Software Development.

I’m interested in all areas of game development at the moment. Currently making smaller games for the purposes of learning and improving over time. You can view my improvement over time below.

2024-2025

In 2024-2025 I am focused on moving from 2D to 3D development, travelling the world, and continuing my University studies. The transition to 3D includes making a more complicated third person game from scratch in Unity, but also learning Blender for asset creation. Addition of games to the portfolio for two years may slow considerably. After this project is complete I may transition to Unreal Engine.

I am currently making a snake game to improve my skills at mobile controls and development.

Peghoul

The aim of Peghoul is to use your cannon to destroy as many pegs as possible. Aim your cannon and fire with the mouse. Hit pegs to destroy them, and earn bonus points depending on which bucket the cannon ball ends up in. Some levels contain spooky ghosts to destroy for extra points.

Ampi The Antibiotic

In Ampi The Antibiotic you play as Ampi; an antibiotic with a mission to journey through the body and rid your host of both good and bad bacteria alike by spewing your toxic insides on them, in a fast-paced platformer filled with puzzles and traps.

Anarchy Pong

Anarchists have taken over the world. Not even out beloved Pong is safe! Normal Pong rules no longer apply in this hellscape.
Try to defeat the AI and you might just help restore some order to this chaos.

Spaceship Fighter

They're coming. Shoot your way to a high score! If you get overwhelmed then use the nuke. Don't let too many enemies through and stay alive, damn it!

Turtle Float

Turtle Float is an endless side scroller. You must help the turtle stay alive as long as possible, avoiding endless obstacles in his impossible life. If you get a good score, maybe you'll get a nice message.
